Take Profit Trader
United Statestakeprofittrader.com
Take Profit Trader (TPT) is a U.S.-based futures proprietary trading firm launched in March 2021, focused exclusively on futures listed on CME, COMEX, NYMEX, and CBOT, with no support for stocks, options, spot forex, spot cryptocurrency, or CFDs. The firm runs a three-stage progression: a simulated 1-Step Test account, a simulated PRO funded account for traders who pass, and an invite-only PRO+ live-market account routed directly to the exchange for traders who demonstrate sustained performance. Test accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown, require a minimum of three trading days as of the current 2026 rules, and apply a 50% consistency requirement that does not itself fail the account when exceeded, only pausing progress until the ratio falls back below the threshold. Once passed, PRO accounts switch to an intraday trailing drawdown with no consistency rule, allow day-one and daily withdrawals once the account's buffer requirement is built, and pay an 80% profit split; PRO+ removes the buffer requirement entirely, uses an end-of-day drawdown, carries no payout cap, and pays a 90% profit split with no ongoing monthly fee. TPT supports one of the broadest platform ecosystems in the futures-prop space, connecting CQG (NinjaTrader, TradingView, Tradovate) and Rithmic (R Trader Pro, Quantower, MotiveWave, Bookmap, ATAS, Jigsaw, MultiCharts, Trade Navigator, VolFix, Investor/RT, Finamark) across 15+ supported platforms. Automated trading, bots, and coordinated trading between users are prohibited, and PRO/PRO+ accounts must be completely flat for one minute before and after a defined list of prohibited news events (FOMC statement, NFP, CPI, crude-oil inventory data, and specified Treasury bond auctions), while Test accounts face no such news restriction. Promotion from PRO to the live-market PRO+ stage is discretionary, based on a holistic review of performance, consistency, and risk management rather than a single published profit threshold.

- 50% Test consistency requirement applies
- PRO uses an intraday trailing drawdown, which can react to unrealized gains and losses
- PRO withdrawals require the account to build the required buffer zone first
- PRO profits inside the buffer are subject to special withdrawal treatment if the account is closed
- Specific major news events are prohibited on PRO and PRO+, requiring a flat position for a window around each
- Counter-positioning and coordinated trading across accounts/users are prohibited
- Weekly trading activity is required to keep PRO accounts active
- Traders must exit positions before CME price-limit events
- Maximum contract sizes are fixed by account size and cannot be exceeded

Trading Rules
- Three-stage structure: Test (simulated evaluation), PRO (simulated funded), and PRO+ (live-market, invite-only)
- Minimum trading days: current Test accounts require 3 trading days (reduced from 5 in August 2026); a trading day is any day with at least one executed trade
- 50% Test consistency rule: the highest-profit day must remain below 50% of total net Test profit; exceeding it does not automatically fail the Test, and the trader can continue until the ratio clears
- No consistency rule on PRO or PRO+
- Automated trading systems, bots, and algorithmic execution are prohibited; all trades must be manually executed
- Traders may use approved copy-trading tools to manage their own accounts, but coordinated trading between different users is prohibited
- Traders may not hold opposite (counter) positions in the same or closely related products across accounts under common beneficial control
- Position limits: traders must remain within the maximum contract allowance for their account size
- Traders must comply with CME market rules and exit positions before a relevant price-limit event; failure to exit can result in liquidation and loss of the PRO account
- PRO accounts require at least one traded day in each calendar week, Sunday through Friday
- Up to 5 PRO accounts may be held simultaneously; traders can maintain multiple Test accounts subject to independent-trading policies
- Accounts cannot be coordinated with other users in synchronized patterns designed to circumvent the independent-trading requirement
- Open positions are automatically closed at approximately 4:55 PM ET; traders are not failed merely for forgetting to close, but liquidation still applies and market conditions before liquidation can still affect the account
- Futures-only: no support for stocks, options, spot forex, spot cryptocurrency, or CFDs
- Headquartered at 9100 Conroy Windermere Rd, Suite 200, Windermere, Florida 34786, USA
Restricted strategies
Approved copy-trading tools are explicitly allowed for managing a trader's own accounts, distinguishing permitted self-directed copy tools from prohibited coordinated trading between separate users.
News trading
- TestAllowed
News trading is allowed during the Test. Traders can trade through economic releases, including major scheduled events, with no one-minute news window applied.
- PRO and PRO+Restricted
Traders must be completely flat, with no open positions or working orders, one minute before, during, and one minute after a defined list of prohibited news events: the FOMC statement/announcement, Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), crude-oil inventory announcements for crude-oil products, and bond auctions for specified Treasury futures. Federal Reserve speakers and FOMC meeting minutes are treated differently from the main FOMC statement restriction.
Window: 1 minute before, during, and 1 minute after each listed prohibited event
Payouts & Trading Costs
- Payout frequency
- PRO accounts allow day-one and daily withdrawal requests once the account-specific buffer has been built, with no minimum profitable-day requirement for payout. PRO+ also allows day-one and daily withdrawals, with no buffer requirement at all.
- Processing time
- Typically within 1 business day.
- Profit split
- Up to 90% — PRO accounts pay an 80% profit split. Traders reviewed and promoted to the live-market PRO+ stage receive a 90% profit split. The Profit Split field on each Test plan above (80%) reflects the PRO split the trader moves into after passing.
- Payout routing
- Plaid / ACH (US); PayPal or Wise (international)
- Minimum withdrawal
- No minimum withdrawal amount — profits above the required buffer can be withdrawn
- Trading costs
- $4.50 per standard contract round trip / $1.50 per micro contract round trip for Test and PRO accounts. PRO+ uses the applicable broker rates. · Commission figures above are TPT's own published rate for the simulated Test and PRO stages, not an external broker's pass-through fee.
Trust & Safety
Take Profit Trader publishes extensive documentation covering its Test, PRO, and PRO+ stages, including profit targets, drawdown calculations, contract limits, consistency rules, prohibited news events, account requirements, payout mechanics, and supported platforms. The firm draws a clear line between its simulated Test/PRO stages and the live-market PRO+ stage, and publishes its commission schedule rather than presenting simulated accounts as cost-free.

Take Profit Trader's Test and PRO products are simulated evaluation and simulated funded accounts intended for non-professional traders; PRO+ is a separate live-market relationship available only after the firm's internal review, and the firm is not a regulated broker-dealer.
Traders should pay close attention to the Test consistency rule, PRO's intraday trailing drawdown, the buffer-zone requirement and its treatment on account closure, the prohibited-news windows, the weekly PRO activity requirement, contract limits, the CME price-limit rule, and the discretionary nature of PRO+ promotion before choosing an account.
Trading carries risk. Evaluation programs like this one involve simulated accounts and non-refundable fees; review the firm’s current terms directly before purchasing. This page is informational and not financial advice.
